High brightness light source for multimode fibers
This white light source works with two blue laser diodes, which are focused on a ceramic laser-phosphor-converter. This creates an extremely bright fluorescent point light source with a diameter of less than 300 microns.
The LS-WL1 efficiently couples this light into a multimode fiber with diameters between 200μm and 1mm. This provides the user with a flexibly usable point light source with very high luminance.
The LS-WL1 light can be turned on and off very quickly. Switching frequencies of up to 100 kHz are possible without any problems. A trigger input is available for this purpose.
The brightness can be controlled conveniently via a rotary knob. The light source can also be completely controlled via a USB interface.
Areas of application are e.g. Microscopy, illumination systems for image processing and optical metrology.
